The main ingredients of this sauce being mustard and vinegar is key to its development. Germans were present in South Carolina in the beginning of it's settlement in the late 1600's. Their cuisine is heavily influenced by those two ingredients, so it's only fitting that the heart of this particular sauce is mustard and vinegar. Chef Aaron discovered his love for this type of barbeque sauce some 10 years ago and it has been evolving ever since. The base of onions and shallots that have been smoked for hours with Apple and Hickory wood work with the other flavors to deliver a tangy and well balanced experience.
